These Vehicle portraits are: Painted on canvas, using paintbrush and airbrush, with oil and acrylic paints. All Paintings are cleared and topcoated. A canvas painting of an Automobile will take a minimum of 40-80 hours from start to finish. This includes research, canvas preparation, preliminary compositions, color mixing, application, clear coating and simple framing. Extra detail and adjustments increase the time and investment costs. We use high quality paints and canvas. I do not do water color paintings because they are not durable and they must be kept behind glass. A painting on canvas has much more value because they are so durable, washable and even fixable. A canvas painting can last hundreds of years without much care. We use a heavier canvas to provide extra strength and thicker and wider wood too add strong support. Plus the painted wide edge means it is not necessary for you to have to frame the paintings. It was my personal quest to make ‘paintings with vehicles’ that were so kool and beautiful that both man and woman could agree, it looks good enough to hang on the living room wall, and not just in the ‘other’ rooms. ‘Enough’ with the paintings of fruit baskets and flowers, its time to get a Kustomotive painting!
